At approximately 9:50AM BRVFC along with UPT Fire & Emergency Services, Royersford Fire Department and Collegeville Fire Company were dispatched to RT 422 WB for a vehicle rescue. AC93 arrived on scene with a dump truck overturned on it passenger side blocking the fast lane and it’s load of sand spilling all over both lanes. AC93 reported driver was out and no rescue was needed. While companies were enroute another accident occurred on WB 422 about 2 miles behind the original accident. R98 from Royersford handled that incident while other companies proceeded in to original accident. SD99 along with E93 blocked the highway and assisted in cleaning up roadway. AC93 requested 51 (Limerick FD) and 34 (Collegeville FC) to shut down 422 at RT29 and also requested PennDot to come out and clear the sand from roadway. Crews were on scene for about 3 hours. PSP is still investigating the accident.
